Some Like It Hot, Some Like It Cold

Couldn't resist taking this photo of Eddie and Daisy. Eddie loves lying inside in the sunshine that comes through the storm door. His short coat doesn't give much protection from the 5 degree wind chill we are having today. Daisy loves to lie outside on the porch, basking in the sunshine that is soaked up by her thick warm fur. And we adults just aren't going to worry about the fact that the inside door is standing open while they enjoy the sun, each in his/her own way!

Tropical Heat Wave

I was so excited to find my lime and yellow, fully lined bag featured in an Etsy Treasury curated by Kimbuktu. (The treasury, Tropical Heat Wave, will be available for viewing through Monday, February 2 at 1:25 a.m.) She makes bags, as well, among other wonderful items. You will also enjoy visiting her website, and her Etsy store,
Here are a few of the lovely items Kim has made.

Love the reds and pinks in this pretty bag!
Browns and blues are a perfect combination!
Children truly are a gift from the Lord.

I am so excited about expanding my online business venues! Recently, I joined Artfire and 1000 Markets. Still have much to learn about both of these new opportunities, and much work to do to keep up with Etsy, Artfire, and 1000Markets! You will notice my new Artfire miniviewer at the right. To view my store there, click on this link

From time to time, I will also introduce you to others from Artfire. Currently, I have joined three Guilds there (comparable to teams on Etsy): Fiber Arts Guild, Artfire Hookers, and Crafting for Animals. Our Crafting for Animals blog is up and running already, and you can view it there at One of our first features is to post about a different member of our group. It is my honor to have that responsibility for our blog.

Currently, I am working on three custom orders.....two from previous customers on Etsy and one from a customer at Artfire. Needless to say, the snow here has kept me from going out of town to work for my Mom so far this week, and I've had lots of time to crochet!

Pet Items and More

Having an item featured in the holiday gift guide in the November/December Bark Magazine was very exciting. It resulted in quite a few contacts and purchases of the holiday dog collars in different designs, and several dog sweaters. You can see some of the dog sweaters in my Etsy shop at You will also find many items for people, too!
Another really wonderful experience in December was that I have had purchases and orders for my men's cable design sweater featured on my website
( as well as in my Etsy store, and am currently working on the fourth one for the same customer! And such a nice, delightful person she is!

You may also want to check out our Boomers and Beyond blogspot - There are new articles posted three times a week, and I get to contribute to those with my "Sally" stories. What fun!

My other teams are the Etsyhookers Team and the Indiana Etsy Street Team (INCrowdteam). Being on these three teams keeps me really making treasuries for them and keeping up with what our team members are doing.
Happy New Year. Enjoy whatever you like to do.
